Last Thursday, the Meltwater Entrepreneurship School of Technology (MEST Africa) held a meeting to review and celebrate the achievements of their five-year partnership with the Mastercard Foundation. The main focus of the gathering was to anticipate and analyze transformative technologies in Ghana.
MEST Africa’s Programs Director, Olufemi Adewumi, praised the partnership for its role in supporting technological initiatives in Ghana. Meanwhile, Rica Rwigamba, Country Director at the Mastercard Foundation, discussed the importance of providing young innovators with the tools and resources they need to succeed in the digital economy.
The event also analyzed the successes of the past five years, highlighting the increase in solutions addressing challenges in sectors such as healthcare, agriculture, and financial services. Emphasis was placed on the need to further strengthen the partnership.
Additionally, a new report titled “The State of Transformative Technologies in Ghana,” prepared by MEST Africa, was officially launched during the event. This report covered technologies such as AI, blockchain, and XR.
