Gebeya and NVIDIA to Establish AI Developer Talent Cloud in Africa
Gebeya and NVIDIA will partner to establish an AI developer talent cloud in Africa. This partnership aims to train 50,000 African developers, with the goal of positioning Africa as a global technology hub.
Africa undoubtedly has a developer population with significant opportunities in AI. This collaboration by Gebeya could help harness this potential, transforming Africa into a center of AI expertise, attracting investments, and establishing it as a global power in technology.
The continent faces a pressing need for qualified personnel in technology, and this partnership could offer a solution to this issue. If Gebeya’s SaaS Talent Cloud technology and local expertise in mobilizing, building ecosystems, and opportunity matching effectively combine with NVIDIA’s expertise in AI, data science, and graphics processing units (GPUs), it could strengthen AI, data science, and GPU capabilities across the continent at scale.
The collaboration between Gebeya and NVIDIA will start with a proof of concept phase in the first year, followed by plans to expand across African countries in three years.
Developers participating in the Gebeya Talent Cloud will benefit from access to the NVIDIA community and ecosystem, training and certifications from the NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute, and exclusive access to NVIDIA events and perks.
