The highest-ranked African team is Morocco, the 2022 World Cup semi-finalist. Following their successful performances, Morocco climbed to 13th place in the rankings, becoming the top African nation in the standings.
The second-highest-ranked team in Africa is Senegal, sitting at 20th place. Egypt, led by Mohamed Salah, secured 30th place. Meanwhile, Nigeria and Algeria rose to 36th and 37th positions, respectively.
The reigning AFCON champions, Ivory Coast, fell to 40th place. Tunisia, which underperformed in the group stage, dropped to 47th, while Cameroon is now in 49th place.
Mali, which secured an impressive 6-0 win in their last match, remains steady at 54th place. The Democratic Republic of Congo, after advancing from the group stage, climbed to 57th.
Other African teams in the top 100 include South Africa at 60th, Burkina Faso at 62nd, Cape Verde at 72nd, Ghana at 73rd, Guinea at 78th, Angola at 82nd, Gabon at 85th, Uganda at 87th, Equatorial Guinea at 88th, Zambia at 94th, Benin at 95th, and Mozambique at 98th.
