Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty lauded the significant contributions of the Egyptian community in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) in strengthening bilateral ties and advancing development projects across various sectors. These efforts, he noted, have bolstered cooperation and deepened connections between the Egyptian and Congolese people.
The remarks came during Abdelatty’s meeting with the Egyptian community in Kinshasa as part of his official visit to the DRC capital. He emphasized that maintaining close communication with Egyptians abroad is a top priority for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He also acknowledged the proactive role of Egyptian embassies and consulates in addressing the needs of expatriate communities.
Abdelatty detailed the ministry’s ongoing efforts to enhance consular services, including the digitization of processes to simplify access for citizens abroad and the introduction of new initiatives tailored to expatriates. During the meeting, he listened to challenges faced by the Egyptian community in the DRC and welcomed their suggestions to strengthen collaboration with the embassy.
He also underscored the critical role played by Egyptian expatriates in supporting their homeland through their contributions and engagement.
