Libya will participate in the “Mediterranean Dialogue Forum for Mediterranean Countries,” set to take place in Rome at the ministerial level at the end of November, according to Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Taher Al-Baour.
Al-Baour made the announcement following a meeting on Thursday in Tripoli with Italian Ambassador to Libya, Gianluca Alberini. During their discussions, both officials emphasized the strong bilateral relations between Libya and Italy.
The ambassador also praised the success of the Libyan-Italian Business Forum, which was held in Tripoli last October, and conveyed the gratitude of Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni for its achievements.
In a statement posted on the Ministry’s Facebook page on Friday, Al-Baour confirmed that he would represent Libya at the upcoming Mediterranean Dialogue Forum.
