The UAE reiterated its support for diplomatic initiatives to bring an immediate cease-fire and halt the internal fighting between Sudan’s Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and the Sudanese Armed Forces. The country stressed the importance of an urgent cessation of hostilities and a peaceful resolution involving all political factions in Sudan.
Furthermore, the UAE reaffirmed its position on the conflict, noting its cooperation with regional and international partners to facilitate dialogue and humanitarian efforts. It also emphasized the need for the warring parties to honor their commitments under the Jeddah Declaration, which was signed in May 2023 following talks hosted by Saudi Arabia.
