Kaizer Chiefs, one of South Africa’s biggest clubs, has not had the best start to the season and is looking to remind their rivals of their strength.
The club is focused on strengthening their squad in January and continues to hold discussions with various players.
Recent rumors suggest that 24-year-old Swedish player Ruben del Campo has become a top transfer target. A product of Atletico Madrid’s youth academy, the forward scored 14 goals and provided 3 assists in 33 matches last season.
Despite having made 26 appearances for the national team, del Campo remains young and is currently a free agent, making him an attractive prospect for Chiefs.
Additionally, Chiefs are keen to secure the talented young left-back Fawaaz Basadien from Stellenbosch FC to complete a major transfer in January.
However, the transfer race is complicated by the presence of Mamelodi Sundowns, the reigning champions of the past seven seasons, which makes this move more challenging.
