Nigerian former footballer Peter Odemwingie left a lasting impression in the Premier League with his remarkable performances.
During his time at West Bromwich Albion, Stoke City, and Cardiff City, he scored an impressive 36 goals. Following his football career, Odemwingie also had a notable stint at Lokomotiv Moscow. Additionally, he represented the Nigerian national team in 65 matches, finding the back of the net 11 times.
Now, Odemwingie is a new member of the Professional Golfers’ Association (PGA). He is pursuing success in a completely different field, aiming to achieve greatness for himself and his country.
Odemwingie first discovered golf in 2010 while playing for West Bromwich Albion. To reach his current level in the sport, he spent four years studying at the University of Birmingham, where he earned a foundation degree in professional golf studies.
The former national team player now dreams of representing Nigeria in golf at the Olympics. He hopes to use this opportunity to introduce golf to his home country.
Looking ahead, Odemwingie plans to establish a golf and football academy in Nigeria in the coming years.
