Libyan Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the Presidential Palace in Ankara on Wednesday as part of an official visit aimed at strengthening bilateral ties.
According to the Prime Minister’s media office, the discussions focused on regional and international issues of mutual interest, enhancing economic and trade relations, and expanding cooperation in security and military sectors to bolster regional stability and shared security.
The leaders also addressed Libya’s current situation and the ongoing efforts by Dbeibah’s government to achieve stability and comprehensive development. President Erdogan reaffirmed Turkey’s commitment to supporting these efforts, emphasizing the importance of collaboration in tackling regional and global challenges.
Dbeibah highlighted the significance of the visit in deepening the strategic partnership between Libya and Turkey, expressing gratitude for Turkey’s support, particularly in political and economic matters. He underscored that bilateral cooperation is vital for advancing sustainable development in Libya.
The Libyan Prime Minister was accompanied by Minister of State for Communication and Political Affairs Walid Al-Lafi, who contributed to discussions on enhancing diplomatic communication channels between the two nations.
