Middlesbrough Looking to Sign Kelechi Iheanacho on a Six-Month Loan
English Championship side Middlesbrough is interested in signing Sevilla striker Kelechi Iheanacho on a six-month loan.
The 28-year-old Nigerian forward joined Sevilla during the summer transfer window but has failed to make the expected impact. He has played nine league matches without scoring a goal.
In addition to Iheanacho, Middlesbrough is also looking to bring in another player on loan—Bologna winger Samuel Iling-Junior. The English winger has struggled for regular playing time since the beginning of the season.
Meanwhile, Major League Soccer side Atlanta United is expected to complete the signing of Middlesbrough striker Emmanuel Latte Lath for a fee of £22 million. As a result, the English club is looking to fill the gap by bringing in new attacking options.
Iheanacho, who has scored 15 goals in 55 appearances for the Nigerian national team, has struggled to find form this season. However, a return to English football could provide him with the opportunity to regain his confidence and playing rhythm.
