The draw date for the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup has been confirmed.
These two prestigious club competitions in Africa will see the continuation of the knockout stages for 16 teams.
In the CAF Champions League, Sudan’s Al Hilal and Algeria’s MC Alger have secured their places in the next round.
Moroccan team AS FAR and South African champions Sundowns managed to progress from Group B.
In Group C, South Africa’s Orlando Pirates, in good form, and last year’s champions Al Ahly have moved forward.
In Group D, Tunisian club Esperance and Egyptian side Pyramids, both tied on points, occupy the top two spots. These eight teams have earned their place in the CAF Champions League quarterfinals.
In the CAF Confederation Cup, Tanzania’s Simba and Algeria’s CS Constantine have advanced from Group A.
In Group B, Moroccan league leaders RS Berkane and Stellenbosch progressed together.
Ivory Coast’s Mimosas and Algeria’s USM Alger moved on from Group C to the knockout phase.
In Group D, two Egyptian teams, Al-Masry and Zamalek, overcame their opponents to qualify.
The draws will take place on Thursday, February 20th, in Doha, Qatar. The CAF Confederation Cup draw will be held one hour before the CAF Champions League draw.
