Despite an ongoing Ebola outbreak, Uganda is still a top spot for tourists and businesses, as confirmed by the Ministry of Health. Health Minister Jane Ruth Aceng informed the public that the outbreak is limited to certain areas in Kampala and Mbale. Effective measures are in place to control it.
“Uganda is safe. Tourism, trade, and travel are not restricted,” Aceng announced, encouraging visitors and business activities.
Last week, a 32-year-old nurse died from Ebola, leading to the outbreak declaration. Two of her relatives have tested positive. Health officials have isolated 234 people who were in contact with the nurse to stop further spread.
Aceng assured that Uganda is ready to manage the situation. Health monitoring and medical teams are active in affected areas. Tourists and traders can proceed with their plans confidently, knowing that safety measures are being followed.
