Arsenal’s young star Ethan Nwaneri, who scored a goal against PSV in the last Champions League, has yet to choose his national team.
The 17-year-old player is eligible to play for both England and Nigeria.
Nwaneri was born in England and has played 43 matches for England’s U-16, U-17, and U-19 national teams, scoring 22 goals. Showing an impressive performance, he is also eligible to receive an offer from Nigeria due to his Nigerian heritage.
The Nigeria Football Federation may not want to miss out on such a young talent and could move quickly to send him an offer.
This season, Ethan Nwaneri has scored 8 goals in 27 matches, with 2 of those goals coming in Champions League games.
If the young player chooses Nigeria, he will follow in the footsteps of England-born Super Eagles players such as Alex Iwobi, Ademola Lookman, Bright Osayi-Samuel, and Calvin Bassey.
