Angola’s President João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço, mentioned Israel’s act of genocide against Palestinian civilians.
He stated “In the middle east we have witnessed and condemned Israel’s killing of civilians since October 7, last year.”
“Although Israel has right to defend its territory and to ensure safety for its citizens, what we are all witnessing is a genocide that targets civilian lives in Gaza strip and settlements in West Bank.” he said.
He emphasized that victims of Israeli attacks are vulnerable children and women, civilians.
The President said, “Israel not only bombing civilians, but also preventing them to reach basic human needs, such as food, water, health.”
He urged UN Security Council and International community to take actions. “We can’t allow to continue what happens for last 11 months. 43.000 people killed in Palestine. UN should stop this act that threatens the existence of Palestinian people and should ensure Palestinians to live in peace and security.”
He added “We are afraid this conflict to spread the other countries of the Middle East. We’re facing a situation that could cause another World War.”
