Ubacle Group, a Nigerian renewable energy firm, has launched its lineup of solar panels, with the goal of bolstering the push for renewable energy adoption in the country.
The unveiling took place during the recently concluded Nigeria Oil and Gas conference held in Abuja.
Uba Michael, CEO of Ubacle Group, emphasized the importance of transitioning to alternative energy sources for a cleaner and safer world.
“We are introducing a range of solar panels today to provide users with alternative energy sources,” he stated during the unveiling.
The solar panels project is a collaboration between Ubacle Group and its partners from China.
Michael highlighted that besides offering alternative energy, solar panels contribute to a cleaner and safer environment compared to fossil fuels.
“It’s also our contribution to economic growth, creating job opportunities for both direct and indirect employees,” Michael emphasized.
“With climate change and global warming warnings becoming more frequent, adopting renewable energy is essential in today’s world.”
Nigeria continues to grapple with an energy crisis.
Over the past weekend, widespread power outages were reported throughout the West African country.
The Transmission Company of Nigeria has noted a significant decrease in power generation since Sunday.
This decline in power generation coincided with reports from the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company and Enugu Electricity Distribution Company about electrical system failures and collapses, respectively.
The exact timeframe for full restoration of power to affected areas remains unclear at this time.
