The final draw for AFCON 2025, which will be held in Morocco, will take place on Monday, January 27, in Rabat.
Teams will have the opportunity to learn about where the matches will be played and the surrounding venues before the tournament begins.
A total of 24 teams will be divided into 6 groups of 4 teams each. The top two teams from each group and the best four third-placed teams will advance to the Round of 16. The tournament will then proceed in a knockout format.
This will be the first time since 1988 that Morocco will host this tournament. In 2030, Morocco will also host the FIFA World Cup. The hosting of this tournament will serve as a trial run for Morocco before the World Cup.
The teams that have qualified for the tournament are: Algeria, Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Comoros, Ivory Coast, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Mali, Morocco, Mozambique, Nigeria, Senegal, South Africa, Sudan, Tanzania, Tunisia, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
