Last year’s CAF Champions League champions, Egyptian side Al Ahly, saw their captain Mohamed El Shenawy noticeably absent in Monday’s Egyptian Premier League match against ENPPI, which ended in a 0-0 draw.
Head coach Marcel Koller stated that the experienced goalkeeper had received a “negative test,” which led to Mostafa Shobeir taking his place between the posts.
