Egyptian giants Al Ahly are reuniting with their former winger Mahmoud Trezeguet.
The winger, who played for Al Ahly 10 years ago, has now signed a five-year contract with the club after leaving Turkey’s Trabzonspor.
Trabzonspor had previously loaned Trezeguet to Al Rayyan in Qatar. Following this transfer, Al Ahly will be able to field him in the FIFA Club World Cup.
Trezeguet is also an important player for the Egyptian national team. He has earned 74 caps for Egypt and scored 14 goals for his country.
A product of Al Ahly’s youth academy, Trezeguet moved to Belgian club Anderlecht in 2015. He later played for Aston Villa in the Premier League and represented several Turkish clubs, including Kasımpaşa, Başakşehir, and Trabzonspor.
The winger was originally under contract with Trabzonspor until 2026. However, Trezeguet had always dreamed of finishing his career at Al Ahly. Now, the prolific attacker has fulfilled his goal.
