The English media reports that Premier League giant Arsenal is set to make a move for a right-wing transfer. Arsenal, which boasts one of the strongest squads in the world, is considering Cameroonian player Bryan Mbeumo for this position.
The 25-year-old player, who plays for another Premier League team, Brentford, has scored six goals in eight matches this season. This places him second in the race for the top scorer, just behind Manchester City’s star striker Erling Haaland.
Arsenal indeed has a very strong squad, and in the position they are considering Mbeumo for, they already have Bukayo Saka, who is arguably one of the best players in the world in his role. However, Arsenal is facing challenges in scoring due to the injury of their star player.
Raheem Sterling, whom they signed at the beginning of the year, has not been able to deliver the expected performance. Therefore, the Cameroonian player could be a perfect fit for this gap. Given his rising performance, if he continues to improve, he could even become Arsenal’s first choice.
