There is strong interest from Arsenal in Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen.
Manchester United previously attempted to sign the player in January, but Osimhen’s camp rejected their offer. United and Chelsea are still among the teams showing interest in the player.
Arsenal, however, has accelerated their search for a striker due to the injury to Gabriel Jesus. The Gunners’ top target is Alexander Isak of Newcastle United. If this transfer does not materialize, Arsenal is now looking at Osimhen, who is currently on loan at Turkish club Galatasaray.
Kai Havertz, who is already at Arsenal, has not been able to deliver the expected goal contribution, so the club is eager to complete a forward transfer quickly.
The 26-year-old Nigerian forward Osimhen has scored 14 goals and provided 6 assists in 18 matches for Galatasaray so far.
Osimhen could be a good transfer for Arsenal, especially since Newcastle United, with their Champions League ambitions, is unlikely to release Isak.
Additionally, RB Leipzig forward Benjamin Sesko is on Arsenal’s transfer list, and Real Madrid’s defender William Saliba is expected to attract interest from Arsenal during the summer transfer window.
