Ecobank Côte d’Ivoire has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) to launch the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women initiative, aiming to help women-led small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Côte d’Ivoire grow and strengthen their businesses.
Paul-Harry Aithnard, Regional Executive UEMOA and Managing Director of Ecobank Côte d’Ivoire, highlighted the program’s potential to empower female entrepreneurs by building their business management skills. He emphasized that the partnership with the IFC would support the bank’s Ellevate program, which offers women-owned businesses tailored banking solutions and growth initiatives.
The Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women initiative provides free online business education to women globally, offering courses on various aspects of business, from leadership and marketing to financial planning and negotiation. Participants can choose from 10 courses designed to help them improve their business strategies, manage cash flow, and develop essential leadership skills. The program aims to equip women entrepreneurs with the tools needed to grow their businesses and thrive in a competitive market.
