The second edition of the Egyptian Super Cup, now featuring four teams, will commence on 20 October in the UAE, according to a statement from the Abu Dhabi Sports Council. Egypt Cup winners Pyramids FC will face invited side Zamalek at Al-Nahyan Stadium on Sunday at 16:05 (CLT).
Later that day, league champions Ahly will take on League Cup winners Ceramica Cleopatra at 20:00 (CLT) at Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium.
The winners of these matches will progress to the final on Thursday, 24 October, at 20:00 (CLT), with the third-place match, featuring the losing teams, set for the same day at Al-Nahyan Stadium.
The tournament was expanded last year by the Egyptian Football Association to include four teams instead of the previous two. Ahly, holding 13 titles under the old format, won the inaugural edition of the revamped Super Cup last December, defeating Modern Future 4-2 after extra time. Zamalek, with four Super Cup titles, last claimed the trophy in 2020 by beating Ahly 4-3 in a penalty shootout.
