Startups from various regions of Africa are coming together at Latitude59, Estonia’s leading startup and technology event. Early-stage startups will compete for a substantial prize pool at this event. The previous edition, held in May 2024, attracted over 3,500 participants, including 600 investors.
In the upcoming Latitude59 event, with applications open until November 1, some selected startups will have the opportunity to present their business ideas in Nairobi, Kenya, before the main event. The winner of this round will also get the chance to pitch at the main Latitude59 event.
The Latitude59 pitch competition has featured a prize pool worth 1 million euros for the past two years. Latitude59 CEO Liisi Org expressed her excitement about the recent growth in the performance and talent pool of African startups.
Due to the success in areas like green technology, financial technology, and clean technology—industries that contribute significantly to society—the event organizers are eager to return to Kenya as the venue for this competition once again.
