Kyrgyzstan’s Deputy Foreign Minister, Asein Isaev, held discussions with Ethiopia’s State Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mesganu Arga, focusing on enhancing bilateral ties. The two diplomats emphasized the alignment of their positions on global issues and explored opportunities for collaboration across various sectors, including tourism, economy, and education.
During the meeting, both parties recognized the importance of expanding their legal framework to support future initiatives. Special attention was given to the broader South-South cooperation agenda, with both sides highlighting the need for joint efforts to foster mutual development.
In addition, the talks covered potential advancements in civil aviation cooperation, specifically the possibility of establishing a direct air link between Bishkek and Addis Ababa. This proposed flight route aims to facilitate cargo transportation and improve connectivity between Kyrgyzstan and major international hubs in Africa, Europe, and Asia.
