According to the Ethiopia Coffee and Tea Authority, the nation’s coffee export earnings in July were $180.45 million, which is the biggest monthly revenue from coffee exports to date
The Authority reports that Ethiopia exported 40,532 tons of coffee in July, up 110% in revenue and 132% in quantity over the same month last year. Exports climbed by 17,758 tons (78%) and income increased by $54.29 million (43%), relative to the same period last year.
According to Dr. Adugna Debela, Director General of the Ethiopia Coffee and Tea Authority, these findings are positive and, should the trend continue, could have a major impact on the economy of the nation.
According to the Authority, this achievement establishes a new standard for coffee export earnings in a single month.
