South Africa national team player Joseph Dweba has transferred to the English rugby team Exeter Chiefs. The front-row player will wear the Exeter Chiefs jersey for the 2025-2026 season.
He previously played for DHL Stormers, where he had been since 2022.
Regarding his transfer, Dweba made the following statements:
“I am looking forward to becoming an Exeter Chiefs player.”
“I signed for this club because I believe I can be part of something special in the coming seasons.”
Exeter Chiefs’ Director of Rugby, Rob Baxter, also shared his thoughts on the transfer:
“We are really happy to have completed Joseph’s transfer. We believe he will make a significant contribution to the team, both in set-pieces and in open play.”
“His quality of play, his key role on the field, and his presence at the club will all be great assets for us. Despite having a lot of experience, he still has many years of rugby ahead of him.”
Rugby fans are eager to see what kind of performance the 29-year-old player will deliver.
