The final three nominees for the 2024 CAF Awards will be announced tomorrow.
The award ceremony is scheduled to take place on December 16 in Marrakech, Morocco. This event will recognize the best African footballers, coaches, and women’s footballers of the year.
The Men’s Player of the Year award will go to one of Ademola Lookman, Serhou Guirassy, Simon Adingra, Ronwen Williams, or Achraf Hakimi. Lookman scored a crucial goal against Real Madrid in the Champions League, increasing his goal tally in the competition. This achievement could slightly boost the Nigerian player’s chances of emerging as the favorite for the prestigious award.
On the women’s side, last year’s Best Goalkeeper winner, Chiamaka Nnadozie, will compete against Zambia’s Barbra Banda, Morocco’s Sanaâ Mssoudy, and Malawi’s Temwa Chawinga and her sister Tabitha Chawinga for the Women’s Player of the Year award. At the moment, Barbra Banda seems to be the frontrunner in this category.
