FlySafair has launched a new route between Lanseria International Airport and George Airport in South Africa.
The route will operate daily, with a flight departing at 10:10 AM and arriving in George at 12:20 PM. Then, a flight will depart from George at 12:55 PM and arrive back at Lanseria at 14:55 PM.
Flights on this route began on March 14, 2025, with ticket prices starting at R1,162.
FlySafair stated that George, a small town in the Western Cape, is a gateway to the greater Garden Route and is particularly popular with golf enthusiasts.
“George itself is a picturesque, peaceful town. This area is especially generous to golfers, with world-renowned golf courses between Mossel Bay and Plettenberg Bay,” they said.
Additionally, George Airport is close to popular towns such as Groot Brak, Knysna, and Oudtshoorn.
This new route will allow both business and leisure travelers in the region to benefit. Initially, there were warnings of delays and longer check-in times over the weekend due to a system outage.
However, ACSA has stated that the issue has now been resolved, and normal check-in procedures should be back in effect.
