Nigeria has recently started producing world-class strikers, and young Nigerian forward Tolu Arokodare is one of them.
The 24-year-old, who plays for Genk, is having a fantastic season and has attracted the interest of Bayern Munich due to his outstanding performances.
Arokodare has scored 19 goals and provided 5 assists in the Belgian league this season, making him the current top scorer.
His performances have caught the eye of several top clubs around the world, including Newcastle, Stuttgart, Borussia Dortmund, and Trabzonspor. However, Bayern Munich’s interest appears to stand out above the rest.
The German giants are searching for a quality striker to support Harry Kane. Initially, Mathys Tel was considered for this role, but the young player did not want to be a backup and was loaned to Tottenham in January.
At nearly two meters tall, Arokodare could be a strong alternative to Harry Kane. While Bayern Munich would be a great move for him, the young forward might prefer a team where he can play regularly and continue his development.
However, Bayern Munich consistently creates many goal-scoring opportunities. In the past, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, despite being a backup, managed to score 38 goals and provide 13 assists.
If the transfer happens, Arokodare could potentially become Bayern Munich’s first-choice striker in the future.
