According to some media sources, the Turkish club Galatasaray was preparing a budget to make Victor Osimhen’s transfer permanent.
Osimhen, who joined Galatasaray on loan, has found his form and expressed his desire to stay at the club until the end of the season.
However, according to new rumors, Napoli’s sporting director Giovanni Manna has retracted the permanent transfer offer he previously made to Galatasaray, as the club does not have the budget to secure the Nigerian star.
Osimhen has been in exceptional form recently, with an incredible record of 8 goals and 4 assists in his last 9 matches.
This has led to Galatasaray’s archrival, Fenerbahçe, also entering the picture, with both clubs preparing bids close to €50 million. However, Napoli had purchased Osimhen for €75 million four years ago, and they do not find the €50 million offer sufficient.
Manna made a statement about the transfer:
“Our door is closed to negotiations. Galatasaray does not have the budget to pay this amount at this moment. The fee is €75 million, there are many teams that want Osimhen. They are ready to pay this amount.”
Osimhen wants to compete in the Premier League, and top clubs are still interested in him. Therefore, the likelihood of this permanent transfer happening appears very slim.
