Ghanaian reggae star Rocky Dawuni may have missed out on the Best Global Music Performance award at the 66th Grammy Awards, but his red carpet appearance made a strong impression and earned him a spot on Esquire Magazine’s Best Dressed Men list.
The hit song ‘In Ghana’ producer was recognized alongside some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry and his outfits were praised for their seamless blend of tradition and contemporary elegance.
Cultural Identity on Display
Designed by Ghanaian designer Juju, Dawuni’s mustard and ivory outfit celebrated his cultural heritage while exuding sophistication. Esquire, a leading American men’s magazine known for its focus on fashion, highlighted how these well-dressed artists contributed to the glamour of the night, while also supporting a city affected by the Los Angeles bushfires.
The list also featured internationally acclaimed artists like Busta Rhymes, John Legend, Omarion and Swizz Beatz.
Other African Stars on the List
- Trevor Noah: The South African comedian and host of his fifth consecutive Grammys arrived wearing a Giorgio Armani tuxedo, Christian Louboutin shoes and a Tiffany & Co. diamond brooch.
- Lojay: Nigerian singer-songwriter Lojay, best known for his hit single Monalisa, wore a beige pinstripe suit and matching necklace with silver and gold rings.
