Following a multi-day election, the country’s parliament approved the nomination of 19 ministers yesterday. These ministers took an oath of office today.
They have sworn allegiance to uphold, defend, and show respect for the current structures and the provisions of the constitution.
They also pledged to always remain faithful to the country.
Every minister who took the oath of office today promised to serve Kenyans honorably and to carry out their official obligations.
As part of their oath, they promised to give the president truthful and accurate advice so that he would be successful in leading the administration.
Additionally, each minister has taken an oath promising not to divulge any private information he gets or communicates, either directly or indirectly.
