Afrobeat musician Kitoko Bibarwa said that he will be releasing an album of reggae music, which is very different from the Afrobeat form of music that most people are familiar with.
The six tracks on the new reggae album were created by him and renowned local audio producer Made Beats, who is currently based in the United Kingdom. The UK-born Afrobeat sensation revealed the details live on Thursday during “Boda 2 Boda,” KTRadio’s evening show, in response to a question about why he hadn’t released a new song in nearly five years.
“Yes, I did slow down for a while because I started a new job at Kings University, but I’m about to release a new reggae album that I produced 80 percent of.”Producer Made Beats mastered it, says Kitoko.
The “Winema” hitmaker sarcastically responded, not explicitly acknowledging that he is in a relationship, but he did say that he will be dropping a bombshell shortly.
He answered, “I know it’s time, but I can’t tell you that I am engaged to someone right now. I will invite you for a big day soon.” Early in March 2020, Kitoko shared an image of herself kissing an unnamed woman passionately on Instagram. The image went viral and gave rise to rumors that Kitoko was getting married. After moving to the UK in 2012 to pursue his education, Kitoko produced music videos and audios to keep his fans interested till he graduated. He then made the decision to prioritize his new career above his music.
Alongside Burundi’s sensational Sat-b, the event is expected to excite Rwandans, Burundians, and Congolese residing in Brussels.
For over a decade, Kitoko has been a popular artist on local radio stations and is well-known in the music business for his dedication to his craft.
