Mahmoud Hamza, the Director of Military Intelligence for the Libyan Army, held discussions with Algerian officials to strengthen cooperation and coordination between the two countries.
During his visit to Algeria, Hamza met with the Algerian Army’s Chief of Staff, the Director of Algerian Intelligence, and the head of Algeria’s Counter-Terrorism Agency.
The discussions centered on creating a system for sharing information related to counter-terrorism and drug trafficking between Libya and Algeria.
Additionally, both sides worked on developing strategic plans to combat smuggling, enhance border security, and establish training programs and mechanisms for exchanging expertise.
Brigadier General Mahmoud Hamza, commander of the 444th Brigade, was appointed as Director of Military Intelligence in March by Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Abdul Hamid Dbeibah.
