Benghazi-based Tika Construction Chemicals Manufacturing has secured a contract to supply porcelain tile adhesive and grouting materials for the Intercontinental Hotel construction project in Grenada, a Caribbean island.
Established in 2022, Tika leverages expertise from Spain, a leader in this sector. Production began in mid-2023 with its first line focused on porcelain and ceramic tile adhesive, a dry powder that creates a strong bond between tiles and surfaces when mixed with water.
Tika currently produces nine products under two brands: Germa, its own, named after the ancient Libyan town, and Xtreme, a Spanish brand Tika manufactures under license.
The company has met international standards, earning the European Quality Mark (CE) and ISO9001 certification. Committed to expanding its global footprint, Tika has participated in international trade fairs in the UAE, Spain, and Mauritania. After establishing export channels to Malta, it now celebrates its latest export order to Grenada.v
