With his outstanding performances over the past two years, Lookman has drawn interest from major clubs like Manchester United, PSG, and Arsenal.
It seems that every day there are new transfer rumors circulating about him. However, Atalanta is keen to keep him at the club by renewing his contract and increasing his annual salary to €3.5 million.
Lookman has made 91 appearances for Atalanta, achieving impressive stats with 40 goals and 23 assists.
Previously, he was earning €2.3 million per year at Atalanta. If he accepts this new deal, his salary will nearly double. With this change, he will become the fourth-highest-paid player on the team, behind Gianluca Scamacca, Nicolo Zaniolo, and Ben Godfrey.
However, major clubs could easily offer him a much higher salary. While Atalanta wants to hold onto the player, if Lookman continues to perform at this level, retaining him could become increasingly challenging.
