President of the Republic of Ghana Dramani Mahama arrived in Ouagadougou on Monday, March 10, 2025, for a working visit to Burkina Faso. Faso President Ibrahim Traoré welcomed him at Ouagadougou International Airport.
The Ghanaian President was greeted with military honors as he stepped off the plane. He received the traditional Saponé hat from Ibrahim Traoré before being recognized by the large Ghanaian community living in Ouagadougou.
The two Presidents met privately in the VIP lounge before proceeding to the Kuluba Presidential Palace, where Faso President Ibrahim Traoré will hold a working session with his host. The agenda of the meetings includes strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two countries, the security situation in the Sahel, and sub-regional and international geopolitical issues.
