He stressed the need for a multilateral approach to tackle climate change, particularly for small island states, and urged for an ambitious climate agreement that acknowledges differentiated responsibilities.
He reaffirmed Mauritius’s commitment to the Antigua and Barbuda Agenda for Small Island Developing States and emphasized Africa’s potential, urging international support for the continent’s growth.
