F1 Champion Max Verstappen will host an event with junior drivers in Rwanda.
Max Verstappen had used offensive language during a press conference at the Singapore Grand Prix, which led to him being given a public service penalty.
He had described this decision as ridiculous.
Verstappen’s punishment coincides with the award ceremony in Kigali next week.
However, since it is mandatory for the top 3 F1 drivers to attend the award ceremony, Verstappen will have to attend both events.
“While in Kigali, (Verstappen) will undertake some work with junior competitors as part of the grassroots development programme organised by the Rwanda Automobile Club (RAC).
“The activity will involve an FIA affordable cross car which was built locally in Rwanda by the RAC from blueprints provided by the FIA.”
Earlier, Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc was also fined for a similar offense.
