Meta Hosts Youth Summit in Lagos, Nigeria
Meta organized a Youth Summit in Lagos, Nigeria, bringing together over 200 bright young individuals.
The summit, themed “Empowering Youth Through Technology, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship,” featured panel discussions, mentorship sessions, and interactive workshops aimed at equipping Nigerian youth with technology-focused skills, insights, and networking opportunities.
A panel discussion moderated by Chinny Francis, Meta’s Public Policy Manager, emphasized the importance of storytelling in personal branding, developing self-awareness, problem-solving skills, and embracing lifelong learning to succeed in the digital transformation era.
Francis Sani, Technical Adviser for Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Digital Economy at the Nigerian Ministry of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, introduced the 3MTT program during the summit. This initiative aims to build a technical talent backbone driven by young people, enhancing Nigeria’s digital economy and positioning the country as a talent exporter.
Throughout the summit, attendees engaged in conversations with industry leaders who shared their experiences and insights. Practical advice and strategies were also provided through interactive workshop sessions.
