West Ham’s Mohammed Kudus is an incredibly talented player, but he has been struggling with poor form this season. He is loved by Ghanaians, he takes great pride in representing his country.
The 24-year-old joined the Ghana national team camp on Sunday ahead of their upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar. However, the star player missed training due to fatigue.
Ghana Football Association’s Head of Communications, Henry Asante Twum, explained why Kudus did not participate in Monday’s training:
“Kudus arrived on Sunday. He was in the camp, but the coach excused him from the first day’s training.”
In other words, the player was granted rest, which is good news for both Ghana and West Ham, as many had feared for the young star’s fitness.
Despite being an impactful player, Kudus has struggled to find his form this season. As a result, his £85 million release clause is unlikely to be activated by any club. Therefore, West Ham will either keep the player or accept a reduced fee for his departure.
