Morocco’s Tourism Office (ONMT) has announced a historic partnership with Delta Air Lines to launch a direct flight between Marrakech and Atlanta, Georgia. This new route is a major milestone in enhancing travel connections between Morocco and the United States.
Starting in October 2025, the flight will operate three times a week, using a Boeing 767-400 with 238 seats. This service is the second direct flight between the two nations in just two years, highlighting the growing ties between them.
“This flight is a key step in making Morocco more accessible to North American travelers,” ONMT stated. “It’s part of our broader efforts to increase tourism and strengthen business and cultural connections between Morocco and the U.S.”
The partnership with Delta Air Lines is expected to significantly boost tourism to Morocco. It also offers a more seamless travel experience for Americans heading to Morocco, a country known for its rich history, vibrant culture, and diverse landscapes.
Recent data shows that the number of American tourists visiting Morocco is on the rise. In 2024, 402,377 U.S. travelers visited, a 7% increase compared to the previous year. January 2025 saw 26,777 American visitors, a 31% jump from the same period in 2024. ONMT aims to reach one million American tourists in the coming years, and the new flight will play an essential role in achieving that goal.
“This new flight is crucial for positioning Morocco as a top global tourist destination,” ONMT added. “It is a step forward in our strategy to make Morocco: Kingdom of Light a must-see destination for travelers worldwide.”
ONMT’s efforts to connect Morocco with the U.S. don’t stop here. Last October, the office launched a direct flight between New York and Marrakech in partnership with United Airlines. This further strengthens the tourism exchange between the two countries, as it also brought 35 American travel consultants to Morocco, including representatives from major luxury tourism groups.
