Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita met with Caleb Fundanga, the special envoy of Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema, in Rabat, where they discussed strengthening bilateral ties. Fundanga delivered a written message from President Hichilema to King Mohammed VI, highlighting Zambia’s commitment to deepening cooperation with Morocco.
Samuel Munzele Maimbo, a member of the Zambian delegation, emphasized that the message conveyed President Hichilema’s appreciation for King Mohammed VI’s dedication to enhancing relations between the two nations. Maimbo noted that the meeting provided an opportunity to explore new avenues for collaboration, reflecting a shared vision for Africa’s development.
The talks, attended by Eliphas J. Chinyonga, head of Zambia’s diplomatic mission in Morocco, focused on ways to strengthen cooperation in sectors of mutual interest. Maimbo stressed the importance of sustained dialogue between Morocco and Zambia, highlighting that ongoing exchanges of ideas contribute to advancing regional development.
