Getafe’s Nigerian young footballer Chrisantus Uche is attracting interest from English Premier League clubs.
Uche was very close to transferring to the Spanish giant Real Madrid during the last transfer window. Now, Chelsea, Aston Villa, and Newcastle United are in the race for his signature.
However, according to recent reports, the Spanish club Real Sociedad may be in a position to pay Uche’s €25 million release clause for the promising 21-year-old attacking midfielder.
Uche joined Getafe for a modest fee of €500,000 this summer, and his impactful performances have already caught the attention of major clubs after just a few matches.
With an aggressive and dynamic style for an offensive midfielder, Uche possesses a remarkable ability to draw fouls, having suffered 32 fouls in 11 matches this season.
While he may not have contributed significantly to the scoreline, Uche has made substantial contributions to Getafe’s midfield in various aspects of the game.
Rumors suggest that Real Sociedad is quite close to finalizing the player’s transfer; however, financially strong teams like Chelsea, Aston Villa, and Newcastle United are also in the running.
Nevertheless, Real Sociedad appears to have a slight edge over these teams due to their expressed interest.
