The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has urged citizens to report difficulties in accessing cash from commercial banks and ATMs, as complaints from individuals and businesses about cash shortages continue to mount.
In a recently issued circular, the CBN directed banks to improve cash management systems and called on the public to identify specific institutions where cash access is restricted.
The appeal follows escalating economic challenges that have strained financial systems and fueled widespread protests across Nigeria in August.
The Central Bank’s measures aim to ease the burden on Nigerians and restore confidence in the country’s banking sector.
