Several heads of state would be in Nairobi for the ceremony, a government spokesperson Isaac Mwaura announced on Monday night. He did not provide any more information, though.
“The President of the Republic of Kenya is a champion for reforms at the AU, and tomorrow we are launching Raila Odinga’s bid to be the AUC chair at State House.” Following his succession from Paul Kagame, you could see a large influx of people. For instance, we’ll have a number of presidents tomorrow,” he stated.
According to reports, the event is anticipated to be attended by at least five presidents of state from the five East African Community (EAC) nations.
Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, South Sudan, Rwanda, Burundi, Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Somalia are among the eight nations that make up the EAC.
