The government has partnered with Saudi Arabia in an effort to improve relations between the two nations in the fields of higher education and research by exchanging skills and talents.
Beatrice Inyang’ala, Principal Secretary of the State Department for Higher Education and Research, stressed at a two-day seminar that the alliance will aid in addressing the issues facing the education sector.
PS Inyangala stated that the partnership is a positive move because Saudi Arabia has provided scholarships to the nation for many years.
She remarked, “As a government, we are grateful to Saudi Arabia for supporting our efforts to offer relevant and high-quality education to everyone.”
Higher education establishments in Saudi Arabia, such as the Islamic University of Madinah, Umm Al-Qura University, and Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, coordinated the event.
It seeks to uphold the true Islamic identity of graduates from higher education institutions and to support their endeavors and foster teamwork in favor of Islamic causes and issues.
In order to further their causes and Islamic issues, the forum will assist graduates in their endeavors and foster teamwork. Additionally, it will cover how to use contemporary technology to further the cause of Islam, according to the event organizers.
The gathering also seeks to protect those who are specifically targeted against the impact of dubious ideas and erroneous, abnormal views.
It will also cover the efforts of recent graduates to defend and promote moderation while cautioning against radicalism.
According to a statement from the organizers, “the forum seeks to expose questionable ideologies and misguided beliefs, safeguard graduates from their influence, and empower them with the tools to counteract these influences effectively.”
There will be talks about the role graduates play in enhancing ties between Kenya and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during the meeting, which was chaired by Saudi Ambassador to Kenya Khalid Al-Salman.
