During the summer transfer window, Sevilla sold Youssef En-Nesyri to Turkish Super Lig side Fenerbahçe, leaving the team struggling for goals this season.
The strike duo of Isaac Romero and Kelechi Iheanacho has only managed to score once so far. Despite this, Isaac Romero remains the favorite of head coach Francisco Javier Garcia Pimienta, receiving significantly more game time.
However, Nigerian striker Kelechi Iheanacho is expected to leave the club during the winter transfer window. Sevilla is reportedly looking to bring in a new striker to address their goal-scoring issues, signaling Iheanacho’s potential departure.
The Nigerian forward, who has previously played for Manchester City and scored 15 goals in 55 appearances for the Nigerian national team, joined Sevilla from Leicester City. Unfortunately, he has failed to live up to expectations since his arrival.
Even with Isaac Romero’s poor form, Iheanacho has not been able to secure regular starting opportunities. A departure could benefit both parties, as Iheanacho would have the chance to regain his form at a club where he plays more frequently, while Sevilla could focus on strengthening their attack.
