The forces of Al-Shabaab ramped up an overnight attack on the base of a Somali National Army (SNA) in Masajid Ali Guduud, Middle Shabelle, forcing it into a deadly battle.
What initiated the attack was an explosion, which was succeeded by armed clashes between the affected government troops and the Al-Shabaab militants. Although no specific number has been mentioned, deaths and injuries have been reported on both sides.
According to security officials, the troops of Somalia discharged the aggressors but sporadic gunfire continued to be heard in the vicinity.
The main Headquarter at Adale from where President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud was coordinating to dispatch the further units to support those already in the confrontation zone.
