Somalia and Azerbaijan have signed a key agreement to enhance defense and industry cooperation. The deal, signed today, marks a significant step in the bilateral relationship between the two nations, with Azerbaijan offering technical support and expertise to Somalia.
In a ceremony held in Baku, Defense Ministers from both countries, Abdulkadir Mohamed Nur of Somalia and Zakir Hasanov of Azerbaijan, exchanged the “Agreement on Cooperation in the Fields of Defense and Defense Industry.” The agreement aims to strengthen Somalia’s defense capabilities through training, technical support, and collaboration in defense technology.
Additionally, agreements were signed in other sectors, including green energy and education, further solidifying the two countries’ commitment to mutual development. The ceremony, attended by top officials from both nations, emphasizes the growing ties between Azerbaijan and Somalia in various fields.
